Handgun hunting was all the rage. Shooting Times and Dick Metcalf wrote about some type of handgun hunting article each month.

My favorite writer, Bob Milek, did the same with Guns and Ammo as well as some specialty publications devoted to it.

It seemed that at the time a 320 grain hard cast bullet was in vogue for anything big and ugly. I too jumped on that bandwagon and bought an SSK bullet mold and an LBT mold for my 44's.
