It didn't kill you but it was coming back 6" and there was nothing you could do about it, period. Thankfully it has about a 2" recoil pad on it but only weighed 7 lbs. I sold it to a fly fisherman in AK who needed a rifle to carry a lot and shoot a little, perfect!
