Nyati as quick as we could build them. I did most of the test firing with them (probably why I have 5 screws holding my right shoulder together right now). The 585 Nyati has over 10,000 lbs of energy. It shoots a 750 grain bullet at over 2500 fps. A 30-06 has 20 foot pounds of recoil while the Nyati has a bit over 180 foot pounds of recoil in a 10 lb rifle (about the same weight as a 30-06 with a scope on it). It uses 160 grains of powder and uses every grain. Back then I was wearing contacts and I had to take my contacts out as every shot would send my contacts flying out somewhere on the floor. My nose would bleed on and off for a full day and 2 or 3 of my teeth would be loose for a day or so. What fun!!
