5.5 grs. Unique with lead bullets ranging from 124-180 grs. The heavier bullets just have more power/pressure. The old 158 SWC I used to load in .38 Specials. It was a top load for the .38 in an old Hornady manual. It sure made my little Police Positive bark! I figured 900-1000 fps? The later manuals had that load listed as a .357 level loading?! Oh well.
