Gary and a friend helped make Roman a 7mm-08

Encore barrel, tapered and braked 16" so it can be a carbine or handgun. He used it when he was younger. It's fantastic with zero recoil. Gary also made a friend of mine a special like barrel in .260 Remington. SO no matter if you are a 6.5 freak or 7mm man those two have you well covered with rather late rounds. Excellent performance from a short barrel.

As mentioned about the "military" SIG round as it overlaps into sporting use. Before all the BS starts, it's just a .270-08 with the shoulder a bit forward to keep you from doing something stupid. Maybe the taper a bit off too. It was spec'd for a belt fed rig for Pete's sake. Still, to SIG's credit, it will give .270 freaks something to chew on. Gary is right and we are a bit cynical, it comes with old age and wisdom. We must endure the certain coming barrage of hyperbole.
