Mark is a good shot. I personally find revolvers with scopes

harder to shoot than single shots. I don't know if it's the hammer fall or what but I seem to struggle. Having Gary mill or grind the backs of the recoil shields flat for a thumb rest seems to help me flinching. You don't want to do it with a heavy recoiling gun but lighter stuff it helps with precision.

Noteworthy is how important it is to keep hands away from the cylinder/barrel gap interface. It would slice your finger right off! Maybe blow a big hunk of hide off too. On a scoped gun you are focused on looking through that tube and may me lured into getting lazy with your hand placement in a hasty rest situation. My worst is blowing bark in my face and eyes (even wearing glasses) with my .429 GNR SRH. I got caught up in the moment and rested on a tree for a shot.
