Well I finally got him.

I have hunted this spot several times now. I always see this guy, but it is just the very top of his head and an eye ball watching every little move I make. No matter how long I have sat in one place I have not been able to wait him out. Until today, I was setting just a bit over 50 yards from his den, watching the top of his head and that eye ball. His belly must have gotten the better of him because he started very slow and cautiously making his way toward the spring wheat field 10 yards from his den.

This is the second season I have used exclusively the 300 GNR and a little 100 gr. cast hollow point. A very deadly combination. Sighted in at 40 yards I still only have to hold on the top of the back out to 70 or 80 yards.
