250 GNR... In my haste to work the 25-20...

The 250 GNR cylinder was overlooked until this morning.

The first thing I learned is the 1 in 10" builds pressure faster than the 1 in 14". But, anyone experienced in ballistics expects that.

But, the second thing I learned was terrific.

Obviously, Gary's guys cut the window for the longer 25-20. This allows 1/10" more nose room than my first 250 GNR.

This allowed the use of bullets intended for rifles. My examples were the Sierra 75 grn HP and 70 grn Blitzking. Also, the Hornady 75 grn HP. The 1 in 10" twist stabilized the longer bullets even at longer ranges.

They all three worked great. But, the 70 grn Blitzking (Poly Tipped) stood out.

They shot tiny groups and laser straight out to 75 yards. I'm sure farther, but my revolver range is limited to 75 yards.

At 25 yards, they completely destroy a soda can filled with water. Will be interesting to try on game.
