main thing. The bear's hide is thick and that is backed by at least 2 inches of fat, sometimes a bit more. A flat nose semi wadcutter is not really a good bullet for a bear. Especially if the lead is soft. George, the head man in the outfitter banned all lead bullets for his clients. The soft lead is not the best bullet material. A hard cast bullet, preferably with a gas check, is the best way to go. Then run it the fastest you can.
