Ball type powders or short stick are best for me. I don’t like powder “bridging” at the case mouth. I also like versatility. I might want to load some others with the same. FYI a pound of powder will generally load up around (200) rounds of .223, give or take a bit. I think I’ve used RL15 some too.
It’s pretty hard to get it wrong. I’ve never used “small” base dies but they should be great if available. Just always full length resize. I seldom find an AR anything that won’t shoot close to 1 MOA. $300 or $3000 they ALL shoot way better than they should. Have fun!
