Hypothermia is a nasty way to go

A friend and I were hunting in Eastern Africa. The day started out warm but by noon the clouds rolled in and the temp dropped about 25 degrees. Then the rain and sleet started. In 10 minutes we were both soaked and were at least 50 miles from camp. John hauled ass but that just made it worse. By the time we reached camp I was frozen. My body temp had dropped about 40 degrees and I couldn't talk and my vision was gone. It took us an hour or two with hot wet towels and sitting next to a wood stove to get my body temp back up.
Another great African hunting memory.
