I setup a 309 JDJ a couple years ago. I bought the barrel from a gentleman that posts on here occasionally.
168gr Nosler AccuBond Long Range, at just a tad over 2400 fps.
So far, I've only taken one animal with it; 2023, a mule deer buck that was laser'ed at 267 yards by my hunting partner. I couldn't have asked for better performance; One shot, bang, flop, hole all the way through.
I would certainly consider using the same rig for Antelope, bear, and elk, but I have better setups for each of those species.
