The key is to bed the forend and the but with “Right Stuff” it is an automotive adhesive/sealant. It won’t damage the wood or metal or bluing. And will hold the forend on even with our the hardware! It can be removed with a single strand of the inner core strands of paracord. Just saw through the sealant by pulling it back and forth along the barrel from the front to the frame. The rest will come off with a thumb nail or plastic scraper. I have shot dozens of full house loads through my 6.5 lbs 500NE with no problems
