that Col. Cooper liked. A 215 grain SWC as I think it was backed by 7.2 grains Unique? That load ought to clock close to 1000fps I bet. A 45 suffers from people not thinking about it outside the "old norms," of what they believed it to be, I run a 250gr +P in some of my 1911s. That's the equivalent of a 45 Colt load. Yes, 22lb recoil spring.
