That looks like a 5". A bit unique and holy grail length for S&W N-frames.
I also note Barney had a 4" gun, mostly, and carried in a 6" holster. In shots of the jail office I always tried to spy what kind of long guns they had in that rack. I remember Andy fetching a M94 Winchester once to go after a bad situation. You know he never carried a gun on regular duty.
