was Gunsmoke and Marshall Dillon had that 7-1/2" Nickel Great Western! I now a lot of old Cops back in the 1960's carried Nickel guns not only for corrosion resistance but to profile their presence of authority. It was respected back then. A big Colt or N-frame fixed sighted revolver on the hip!
Bonanza was all the rage too but I can't remember much about their guns they used.
