Yes sir the 38 Special case is much bigger, and much lower pressure. At the 33k pressure the 38Super was said to be midway between the 38 Special and .357 Magnum. I don’t know how close it gets to the .357 Mag at the current pressure. It can make “Major” at the old pressure, but some of the loads that the competition shooters are using are over the new max pressre. I’ll send you an email link to that info. Just gotta have a fully supported chamber (ramped barrel for 1911) and a recoil spring to match the load.
