I've never been able to afford one, but every one that I've shot, makes me love it more.
Yes there are physical limitations with full house loads, but it handloads easily. One friend has one and shoots 435's at 1250.
When I asked why, he replied "It does it a 45 colt standard pressures. the gun should last forever."
That combined with additional firearm weight, makes this level of load a pleasure to shoot.
Not trying to be contrary, but the Horsepower is there if you want it, but you don't need to use it everyday. Much like having a hi performance car. Hellcat, Hennessy Vette, or a big Cummins in your pickup. Normal use never uses the speed or horsepower, but it's nice to know you CAN go there if you want to.
Some shooters haven't realized that yet. I was one of them for many years. Only skillful practice will improve skill. Overmuch pain creates painfully bad habits.
