This beauty was just finished and the final test firing done. It starts out on the Ruger 77. It is chambered in one of Africa's most popular dangerous game cartridges, the 9.3 X 62. It has a new barrel, 22" overall with muzzle brake, in a heavy taper configuration with express 3 leaf sights in the rear and barrel band front sight with the red fiber optic bead up front. The wood is completely reworked to a soft satin finish with no glare or shine. It has rosewood forend tip and grip cap. The gun is finished in our deluxe Black Chromex finish and the internals have been slicked up for a smooth, reliable action. It has a Decelerator pad added to it and the pad along with our brake brings the recoil down to about that of a 30-06. The gun is built on the customer's base gun, which can be any Ruger 77 or 77 MK 2. For the perfect dangerous game rifle for Africa, Alaska or wherever there lurks dangerous game, it would be very hard to beat this one. The new 9.3 African Hunter is $1595 on your base gun.

Gary, Watched a friend bust a oryx in Texas with an Encore using the rimmed version of this caliber and a handload with a Woodleigh Hydo-Static Schock bullet that was inpressive... He also used a double rifle with same cartridge in S.Africa to take a Cape buff and hippo with great effect....

WOW! That is one nice rifle.
