based on the 405 case. The closest to that would be the 338 Falcon, based on the 30-30 case which can be chambered in the Marlin 336 rifle.

no, nothing under 2.1" in length will feed thru it.

years ago Marlin advertised the 1895 in 475 Linebaugh at the SHOT show and took orders. When they actually started working on it they found they couldn't make it work at all. So they had a lot of explaining to do. We have also tried making the 475 and 500 Linebaugh work in the 1895. We got them to work sometimes, not reliable enough to say we did. The 2.1" is the actual brass, not the total cartridge.
