Reeder Custom Guns - HHC cornfield hog hunt

My reflexes are not what they were, eyesight not what it was. Thar being said, what should I hunt with in the cornfield?
Choices: 445 Desert Thunder w/ fastfire, 45acp longslide Hog Hunter or 10mm longslide.

soft flat point in the Redhawk. The last time I used a 510 GNR Hunter and got a 350 pond piggie. Before that I got a 450 pound hog that is mounted on my wall now. Both were taken at about 15 yards, one in a wallow and the other in the corn field. I also am a little uncomfortable with a lot of hunters in the corn field at the same time. I know that we are experienced hunters and look for where pass throughs will go, but hen a pig charges at close quarters you may not have time for all of the safety that one would like! Maybe we could make an agreement about how many of us will go into the corn field at the same time? I am not in any hurry so I would be happy to hunt at a later time than others. I would rather not go into the field if I would endanger others or myself. Just my thinking on this particular topic.

to the HHC and there have never been more than 4 or 5 people in it at any one time. Most folks go there to hunt the hillsides and woods. The cornfield is just for fun. You always hunt from an ATV so we will be able to hear you anyway.

that kind of setting, your gonna need something with enough power to get the job done, but at the same time be able to control the next shot or shots, could be shootin short and fast.

rounds, a good 300 g XTP should be enough for 250 lb hogs

Of everyone, so talk to each other, and keep shots close so you are pointing down as you shoot. It’s not uncommon for the hogs to feed right up to your shoe laces before they see you and run off, or run over you.
