checking on the rumor about the arm braces on an AR

This is what I came up with after talking to my ATF friend.
there has not been any change regarding the pistol stabilizing braces. Apparently there is an undated Open Letter that has popped up on the internet, but that letter is from 2015. So long as someone is using an approved pistol stabilizing brace on their AR pistol, and there are no changes, modifications, or alterations made to this brace, they are good to go (it can even be shouldered). Folks should also make sure they are utilizing an approved brace, as there are apparently lots of braces out there that are not approved, and that’s another way someone could get in trouble ( as it could turn their firearm into an NFA). So if you have one of the older approved braces you are fine. Just stay away from the new non-approved braces. It usually takes a year or more to get one approved by the ATF so the brand new ones are not approved. Stay away from them and stay away from the vertical forend as that is a no no too.

It begins, a lower for $xxx, that's cheap!

then soon you have $xxx in a gun that is only worth $xxx. But the market is so flooded nobody wants it for even $xxx. But it's kind of fun, so you do it again a while later. Pretty soon there will be x-* of them in circulation!

You can buy a NEW Rugger 556 for just over 500 bucks.

no sensible reason to build one. Due to liability you are taking a big chance. If you build it and sell it to your moron brother in law and he does something stupid with it and blows it up and hurts someone, you will go to court and lose everything. That has already been proven in several court cases. And there is no sunset on that. if someone blows it up 5 years from now you go to court and lose everything. Why take a chance like that.

And if you build one of the 80% guns with no serial number you cannot sell that gun, ever. You are allowed to build one gun with no serial number and cannot sell it and build another. That is the law. So again, why bother.
