8 million acres of woods. This was early this morning..

Now 6 hours later the smoke covers the entire space between those two buildings. Probably 5 times as wide. They are calling it the Museum Fire. We have so many people camping and hiking up here and many know nothing about fire dangers. This one was probably started by a camper who didn't put his camp fire out properly.
This was another one a year or so ago

I pray they get it under control quickly ...

for almost the whole eastern side of Flagstaff. The wind is out of the SW blowing that fire over to hiway 89. There are a lot of homes in the path of this fire. Our prayers go out to those people. About half of my staff live in that part of Flagstaff.

Will be praying

to most of the eastern side of town. Fire is quite a ways away, think they're just covering their asses. No current updates on containment. Last report was near 200 personnel, 8 tanker aircraft, 4 helios and multiple ground crew/ hotshots.
