We still have a couple of small things to do to it but it is close. Today Nate finished the custom grips out of Ivory Max. These were built from a block of material.

Looks really good, those grips really match the contour of the factory's. Probably the neatest looking Dan Wesson I've seen.

Gary what caliber did you start with? I will near understand why DW does not put the large frame, (41 Mag, 44 MAG, and 45 colt) and long frame(357 Max, 375SM, 414SM and 445SM) back in production.

ECONOMICS--THEY CAN MAKE SEMI-AUTOS

FASTER AND CHEAPER AND SELL THEM FOR MORE $$$

a semi auto like a Glock or 1911. 1911 parts are like AR-15 parts in that they are drop in parts, for the most part. A good man could put together 25 or 30 1911s in a day whereas that same good man could put together and time and accurize one revolver in a day. So simple economics. But as I mentioned last night I think, I can see DW starting the revolvers back again soon. Right now the 1911s are like the AR-15s were 2 years ago, completely flooding the market. There are almost 100 makers of 1911s and there is only so much you can do to a 1911 to make it different. I have noticed a slow decline in sales of 1911s both factory and custom. CZ is a smart company. I foresee them getting back into the revolver business fairly soon, especially the Super Mags.

I may be wrong, but I think 357 Max and 445 SM would be good sellers.

414 Please!!
