It was originally in 22 caliber and we wanted to stay with the original barrel. The gun has been completely refurbished with a color cased frame with game scenes engraved on it, Fire blue lever and small parts, deluxe Black Chromex on the rest of the metal. The stock and forend have been refinished and everything gone over and checked out. It is very accurate and as tight as when it was new. next is a rifle that you guys back east seem to really like. When I lived in Tennessee every hunter either had a Remington 742 semi auto or the Remington 760 pump. This is a really nice Remington 760 pump in 308. The gun is in excellent condition and no scratches or cracks in the stock and perfect metal. The butt pad had gone hard so we replaced it with a new Decelerator pad. And in 308 it is the perfect caliber for heavy woods or over a cornfield. This one is sale priced at $345 plus shipping. The lines you see on the action are a reflection from the ceiling tiles overhead.

This is a perfect carry gun or a gun for having fun at the range. It would normally be priced at $1695 but is sale priced at $1195 plus shipping.

You don’t see the semi autos around here since we are not allowed to use them for big game. Pumps still have a strong showing but were definitely Second-place to the thuddy-thuddy lever gun in PA woods.

Any chance to put it back?

No, due to liability I can't do that, plus I don't have the

original parts. In my opinion the transfer bar system is the best thing Ruger ever did. The guns are smoother and a whole lot safer with it. Too many folks got shot and sued when the guns didn't have the transfer bars. I believe in them. All of our custom frames have the transfer bar system.

I don't have all the data here at the shop. The load we used

in this rifle was 33 grains of H322 and a 55 grain bullet. Projected velocity would be in the 3400 fps out of a rifle barrel and this was not our max load. Some other starting loads are...
29 grains 4895...55 grain bullet
32 grains of 3031 with a 55 grain bullet
31 grains of H380 with a 55 grain
All velocities are in the mid 3400s.
These are all starting loads and need to be worked up to the gun's maximum.
I will get the full data from Sean. We have the dies in stock.

Gary, I’ll take the 99 takedown
