when I got up at 7. Well over 2 feet by the time I left to come to work. I was pushing snow with my bumper all the way in. Everything in town is closed, except us of course. All but one of my guys made it in. They have closed off I-40 heading both ways and I-17 is mostly closed. The weather bulletin just said to expect another 20 to 24" today. I figure we will probably get 40 to 48" of snow before it is over.

I talked to Alcorn in Mississippi this morning and he said they were in flood conditions with more rain on the way. Once this storm passes us you guys east and north-east of us are in for a doozy.

Do you think you will be able to get home tonight?

many times I have come in my driveway sideways. The trick driving in my drive, which is 70 yards long, even in 4 feet of snow, is never slow down or stop. Keep the pedal to the metal and you will get there. In 25 years I have only missed 1 day of work due to the snow. And that was when we had this storm..a solid 6 feet of snow in the flats, 10 to 12 feet in drifts, completely over my house.

glad we don't get the big dumps of snow like you get. That would even close our schools down, I bet. Our schools are open no matter how cold it gets, but if we have a snowfall that knocks out power and causes rooves to collapse, we might get a day of school closure.

we had a couple of new buildings in the last couple

of years with flat roofs. I think 3 of them collapsed when we had that snow storm in the pictures.

It usually takes a few big snowstorms to make them collapse

here and it usually happens in the spring when an older building with a big roof doesn't get shoveled off in time.

Wow! Even getting snow in the valley. This is a friend’s house just outside of Scottsdale.

Not a lot compared to Flagstaff, but down here this is a blizzard.
