there are 3 new models, the model 45, 43X and 48. In case you haven't seen the newest, the model 48, here it is. A slim model 19 for all practical purposes. Slimmer all over, single stack with a silver colored slide so it doesn't carry an many rounds as the 19. It is, to me, the perfect concealed carry gun with the dependability of the Glocks.

Thanks for the picture! That looks lots smaller and no fiddly buttons or levers to get confused about. if they could add just a few more rounds in some new fangled compact DS mag.... SIG got it done, lets see what competition brings in the future.

The M19 is hard to beat, with over 50% more rounds for the extra fatness? I'm really pressed between a 6-7 shot pocket pistol and a full size carry like the M19 (15-shot). These "perfect" size guns are a lure for sure. With a M19 you don't need an extra mag for your extra bulk. Factor in a smaller gun AND an extra mag to get the firepower peace of mind back up and where are we?

I'm going to have to go give them another look. Firmly perched on the fence I am.

I have carried my Star PD with 6 rounds since 1978

I carry an extra mag in a knife pouch on my left hip and the gun in a Yaqui holster on my right side in the small of the back. I figure if I can't stop whatever is happening with 12 rounds I should have run. With a large capacity mag one tends to spray & pray. Knowing I only have 6 in my PD makes me a bit more frugal with my shots should I ever get in that type of predicament.

I understand, sometimes I tote my J-frame w/5.

It is usually my Dan Wesson 15-2 with the 4" barrel in a bianci or my Glock 19X with a Glock holster. Now I just purchased a S&W .380EZ. When Gary wrote about it I went and checked it out. It was sweet purchased it for my wife. She loves it. Thanks Gary!

him for a while but was afraid of the answer I would get. John and I did a lot of gun shows together. I had the cowboy guns and he had the leather. A real gentleman and his wife is the perfect lady. Great people.

YES HE IS AND DOING "FRONTIER GUNLEATHER"

sharing a big booth at the gun shows and cowboy shoots. He had some really nice and fancy gunleather that reminded me of some of the old Roy Rogers and Gene Autry gun rigs. Some of his rigs were more expensive that my nicest custom guns.

My typo, My appologies
