This project should get WB's attention..
Turning the rims on 38 Special down to .414" turned out to be child's play. Chuck the case in a $20 Walmart drill and using a file goes really quick.
In case you're scratching your head, there is a reason....
My 38 Super Trail Gun is going back for a 9mm and 38 Special cylinder.
Turning the rims down slightly will enable the use of my New Model gun. The .414" rim is .01" smaller than my 40 S&W or 10mm Trail Gun.
The 38 Special cylinder will be just as strong as the 38 Super, allowing the use of 30,000 psi ammo. This will mimic the old 38-44 pretty danged close. The barrel slugged. 356" so shooting .358" cast bullets should produce fantastic accuracy.
I can easily make 100 cases an hour, so a supply won't be difficult to accumulate. This will be one versatile Trail Gun...
