Looks even better in person. Now I just need to shoot the whiz out of it!

A really nice gun Doug. Shoot something big, then...

I checked the ballistics and about 1500 is a good speed to go for, checking the trajectory tables and such. Probably 100 yd. zero and you should not be off much closer. You might want to find some fresh cases. Those plain base 320's we bought from George might not be too bad, kick like the devil. You'd not notice it in the field.

I’m just south of you in TX. I have brass & bullets.

What do you need for development and shooting? If interested, glsquare-at-att-dot-net.

Very kind. I'll post the results we have a plan

Doug is interested in the silhouette Sierra 250 gr. and 220 gr., what I call "reverse FMJ". I'd much prefer a good flat meplat FNGC, slicker and hits plenty hard. Gary loves the Sierras and Doug does too, hey to each his own. The standard .44 Mag. typically garners around 1500 fps with the best powders you can find. We will try LilGun for lower pressures. Something I wanted to try.

We were looking over trajectories, factoring in the possibilities along with his prowess. 100 yds. sounded like a good goal considering all. That's good for 20 yds. to about 120 for basically direct sighting on bigger critters. I'll keep you posted. He just got the gun today.

if Doug is going for big stuff like Blue Wildebeest

or Red Hartebeest then the Silhouette bullets are the way to go. On a point of shoulder shot they will break the shoulder and go on thru and probably break the off shoulder too. I have used them in a 44 Auto Mag on 2 African hunts and everything I hit was a one shot kill.

I wish you luck. I am wondering

I am kinda jealous.
