Gary,

I just acquired a Winchester 1892 Trapper Deluxe Takedown, in 44 Remington Magnum. I would love to have another front half in either 41 magnum(it does dry cycle the rounds fine), or one of your 41 GNR wildcats. Is this doable. It can use the same magazine tube. Just need the barrel, forend, and takedown plate.

Tim

I'm certainly not Gary, but empathetic..

I've done some wild conversions with Gary. I've collected parts and worked with him to do some things I probably should not have given the rational economy of the project. But it has been fun sometimes too.

If you could conjure the forend and takedown plate I'm sure GNR could do the rest. But for him to round up the parts is sometimes too much of a burden to charge a customer. It's humbling to get a thumbs down on a potential project you've thought up but Gary has never steered me wrong on his advice on a project. Even if I stuck my lip out for a day or two, it finally comes around to acknowledging his points.

Tim, like WB said if you can find the forend and plate we

can build the barrel and get it fit to the gun for you. I don't have access to the parts necessary.
