I can't really remember what they were. I do think the Hornady .416 checks were quite a bit more than you paid. Looking at the .475 diameter Hornady retail price is eye opening.

gave away 17 boxes of gas check last weekend, 416, 358, 257, 308, and 348 calibers and maybe one or two others. And last time I checked I am still alive and healthy. I realize it may shock you, but money isn't everything.
They are scrapping the residue powder off the cases

I only have .35 gc for my .358 win rifle
and .41s. My sons .500 gnr is plain based
Gator checks are usually less, might try looking at them
I get in trouble everytime I quote prices

The whole point was my joy in efficiency using plain based bullets and Trail boss in the .476 GNR Encore. It recoils like a .357 revolver yet shoots a 400 gr. bullet at something north of 1100 fps. It would kill about anything on the planet.
A wonderful and under appreciated big bore round. The economy of shooting .475 LB and .480 Ruger pistol bullets cannot be ignored. A 10 yr. old kid can hunt with it or I can load a 500 gr. Nitro bullet and crease your forehead. I hope I am not the only one that has as much fun with my array of GNR proprietary cartridges. The mainstream does not have a clue and I'd love to help spread the word. I always try to be a GNR ambassador.
I got some of the 25 cal.

it has come down to groceries over reloading stuff. Really. I cannot ever forget that. I enjoy efficient use of resources, that's part of my fun. It factors in with precision, not always needed, but enjoyable.
