The Accurate Manual says this old warhorse can push a 400 grn jacketed bullet at 1850 fps with under 20,000 psi.

That's a lot of thump from a G2 Carbine.

My Marlin .450 Guide Gun shot that load and was pretty salty, ported barrel and all.

Both of my 50-70 rifles are Remington Rolling Block black powder. The ammo I shoot is from Buffalo Arms. Fun to shoot. I have never reloaded black powder and weonder if it is worth the effort.
