Gary, do we make 457 GNR from 45-70 cases these days?...

I know it was originally the 475 Maximum necked down. Since that's not an option these days, I want to make sure rim diameter and thickness is compatible.

457 GNR is on my list of wants

It is a very powerful long cylinder revolver cartridge. It is based on 475 MAX. Necked down to .458. I hope to kill an elk at HHC with my Professional Hunter.

Picts of cartridge and PH?

That was the most beautiful group of custom pistols I have ever seen. I really wouldn't know which one I would pick. They are truly outstanding. That 457 looks like a thumper, but that 450 GNR that has to hurt to shoot. I could see why your water buffalo didn't want to get up. Thank you for giving me a sneak peek. It was really worthwhile thanks

I use Gary's 475 GNR brass. A bit stronger than 45-70.
