Gary,

I just bought this grip forearm set. I am thinking of your 378 GNR barrel. Two question please:

Will your heavy barrel fit this forearm diameter?

What is the shortest barrel length you recommend before it starts to really affect the 378 GNR performance velocity and muzzle blast?

Thank You!

Mark

Mark, I really don't have any idea what size barrel that

forend is designed for. Does the package say what barrel it is for? I never use wood grip and forends. Too many problems with them. I stick with the soft rubber forend and grip. For the 378 GNR, I use a 13" barrel plus brake for 15" total. That has served me well on quite a few African safaris.

It'll work on any of them. I use those on...

Everything from factory barrels to my straight Reeder Bull 500 barrel.

Thanks Huey

I still like the factory rubber better. The Pachmayr grips and forend are quite heavy and there is no reason for it.
