Anyone load the Hornady 100gr Short Jacket

bullets in the 300 GNR? If so, do you crimp in the exposed lead or at the jacket line? I was looking at various 110s and found those.

I thought either these or the Sierra 110 FMJ RNs for target practice. Curious how the non cannalured bullets will do in a revolver - jump the crimp.

I loaded the bullets in a 30 carbine Ruger revolver. I used a slight taper crimp at the jacket line. Never had any trouble. House burned down in 1991 with 30 carbine. To this day still the most accurate iron sighted revolver I have ever owned.

Didn't crimp them, didn't use the expander. Have them loaded kinda long, with exposed jacket. Haven't got to try them in the revolver yet, just the Contender.
