GNR for the test firing? Also is there another load that is a favorite of yours?
I used 22 grains of 296 with a 158 JHP. My 356 GNR

It burns clean and is just as fast as 296/H110 for some unknown reason. Typically it's about 10% slower and can be a little dirty in the larger bores. But it is real good in the .356, ditto the .41 Mag.
