First off this gun has seen very good care. Im lucky to add it to my small game battery.

Had a tad of wear on the matte finish of the tang. Easily touched up with a bluing pen.

The rear sight elevator was missing. Have plenty of them. Will put a new one in or just remove rear sight and replace with a Marble's Blank.

Replaced that Liberal Safety with one of the blanks that looks just like another action screw.

Ordered a DNZ Scope Mount for it. I love the one piece system and smooth lines.

Found a new Weaver K6 in hiding. Figure about ideal and close to period correct.

May or may not refinish stock. I do like the fine hand rubbed finish. Time will tell on that one.

Gun is like new and will be a gem to shoot. Looks great sitting next to the 25-20 and 32-20.

Sounds like a fun project.
