Just curious to what others use. I’m thinking 22gr of h110. Looking for other thoughts. Not using hard cast, just 180gr XTPs.
I like 20-21 gr. H4227, for some reason

it performs much better, top speeds up with H110/296 in the .356 GNR ctg. I have no explanation, it just does. It is really a lot for stable and consistent. However I still use WW Mag marked primers ("For Standard or Magnum Loads" - on the box). I was getting 1500-1550 fps from my 6.5" Ruger BH.
Actually I begin by looking over old .357 Maximum loads and work my around them. 1680 does well too but I have not chrono'd them.

of H-110 or 296. For hunting I use nothing but those 2 powders.

....I got impatient and loaded 20. I was bored and did some experimentation. I also loaded 20 rounds of 300GNR the 100gr xtps over 18gr of 2400. Had a WB experimentation moment!
Id listen to these guys about 21 grains...

In a revolver. I was using my Reeder Rolling Block with those bullets seated to the rear cannelure. That definitely makes a difference.
I was just referencing the cartridge and bullet combo.
Already decided to pull them and start at 20 gr

max, for others 22 might be. My 2 revolvers in 356 GNR both like 21 grains for jacketed and lead.
