a great round and Gary's 8mm GNR has done very well. I've always wanted a 8mm-06.

I love the old vintage stuff in Contenders...

218 Bee, 25-20, 250 Savage, 6.5x54, 7x57, 300 Savage and that sort just to name a few.

I really like the old Octagon barrels

and I actually like the idea of re-chambering some of the common ones to other calibers. The .22 RF in particular, can be any reasonable .22 (.224") CF. The .22 WMR is a great re-work, ditto the BEE, Mashburn, or K-Hornet.

I took an unloved 8-3/4" external choked .357 tube and gave it the "Maximum" treatment. I wanted to explore home made "Hotshots" and shoot .357 Maximums in addition to .38 Special and .357. Works wonderfully. Also the wonderful .35 cal. barrels will make great .355 GNR or even .350 GNR if you want. .30-30 can be .30-40 Krag or .300 Sav. etc. I had a .25-35 that would be an easy .256 Falcon. An old 6.5 TCU could be redone to 6.5x54, same for the 7 TCU to Mauser.

Lots of fun stuff.

no I don't. 8mm Mag but no 8mm Mauser
