25-20 Bullet Update... I received the Lee Sizer Die...

It was custom made to match the throats of Gary's 25-20 reamer. Most cast bullets come .259" and modern specs call for .257".

I sized some bullets down and they work perfectly. They push through the throats with only modest effort.

Tight enough to seal the gases from overtaking the bullets and softening the lead, but small enough to load with standard dies. No more extra step of a Lyman "M" or RCBS Cast bullet expander die.

I ended up with both a .258 nd .257" sizer

I must have bought the .258 and thought I needed the smaller one. I had a bullet with a more blunt ojive that wouldn't fit well. I think I was playing with seating my .255 Banshee long too.

I can see that seating bullets out. Not an option...

On the 25-20 based on a Single Six or necessary.

But, whether you start with .259", .258" or .257" they're .257" after they exit the throats. So, no reason to shoot them oversized.
