a true treat, just add some bacon. I have my wife's recipe if you are interested. Most off the shelf recipe's are too sweet and too runny. It's gravy Southern style, so it should be a little thick and tasty, without being too sweet.

I'll get the recipe and post the REAL Southern version. I know we have some true Chefs on here.

Great going there! Man I wish I was there with you.

or did you mean you already have the actual recipe?

I got this from Scotty a few years back but never got around to making it until today. He can confirm it’s the right one

I'm not good with making gravy, I always end up with a bunch. Getting it not too runny, nor too thick, is an art.

Traditionally we eat the gravy atop those split cat-heads, with nice crispy bacon, and a good dose of farm eggs to your liking. Only special occasions usually, very special every time we get it.

Hmm. Sounds Yummy!

So kinda in the middle. I remember you saying you liked less sugar, next time I’m going to try 1/2 cup because I think I might like it a little sweeter.

I had my parents over for lunch and let them try some, that was a new one for them! Lol

Yes! Got it from you
