I am sorry I don't have any better photos. I used to have a lot of them but ...

The ACP case is loaded base first into the cartridge, with the fired primer still seated. I shot them the other way around and the pressure blew the primer out and left the ACP cartridge stuck in the middle of the barrel.

Someone else had a similar issue I hear ... ahahaha

These were only running about 1600- 1700 fps. Others who tried this got them up over 2000 fps.

These have enough power to take down the 25 yard chickens.

When I spent some time with Lee Jurras about 10 years ago we shot quite a few of these.

Just because Superman can fly, don't mean U can kids!

I jumped of the barn once with a sheet for a cape. Hay can really rough you up.

Any guesses how fast 35 grs. AA#7 and a 37 gr. hull?!

Hoo Wee!

I actually plan to salvage the few remaining "too light" rounds by "adding" weight. I want to add some shot pellets and see what that does as a saboted charge. I still want to try some actual home made jacketed projectiles. I have an old C&H bullet swage die set.

Perhaps use some LEE alox to lubricate the alloy jackets, it sure can't hurt. And manipulate the actual bearing surface or "ojive" if you will.

Isn't it interesting a .45 Colt barrel only has an actual 0.443" hole in it?!

Nope ... no clue

I used a pretty hesvy dose of 700X with my loads....

I didn't weigh a .45 ACP hull, likely 100+ grs?

That was my problem, too light a projectile (37 grs.) offered no back pressure to burn the powder.

I was astonished the round that did work and hit point on, right where I aimed.

What if you put another 100 grns of epoxy in the hull

then loaded it backwards? I would think it would fly a lot truer.

I was just giving you a hard time, have you ever used parifin wax ? I used them in 44 for indoor practice when I used to cowboy action shoot,a lot of fun

I once shot a wax bullet through an oak plank

it was about an inch or so thick ... I had a case full of bullseye under the wax bullet in a .44-40. It punched a nice clean hole through board.
