BUT the weather has not been co-operating. It was 27 this morning!!! I have become a fair weather shooter in my old age. Well ... maybe it will warm up this afternoon .. or tomorrow ..

I installed a bolt-mounted aperture sight on the Model 92 .357 ...

Also a Marble's front sight with the larger white dot ...

I shot it in the shop at about 25 feet and it is fairly close to center as far as left to right but I have no idea where it will hit at 50 yards .. so I wait ..

Agree on the “fair weather “.

I found this math formula for sighting...

However I tend to whack a little and just see....

"Sight radius inches X amount you desire group to move (in inches) / (divided) by the distance to the target in inches. The increments will be in 0.001's or thousandths." * the rear sight moves the way you want group to shift, front sight movement is the opposite.

My problem is I can't measure that good. But it might help with selecting sight blade heights etc.

BTW who makes that drilled bolt sight?

Math like that

makes my head hurt. Shoot enough you can get it close without all them numbers.

The sight is made by Steve Young of Steves Gunz here in Texas. It is a replacement for the ugly and useless bolt safety on the Rossi leverguns.

Replacing that wart of a safety, now that's thinking.
