I had a base gun headed to Gary before he got the reamer unwrapped.

Mine will be a Single Six Stainless Bisley. 7.5" barrel and grips from the blue Ukrainian wood I bought on sale.

Dual cylinders so I can compare the standard 25-20 with the Improved cartridge.

I expect 1800+ fps from the 251 Falcon and a 75 grn Speer FN.

Its hard to imagine a better small bore revolver.

May build a Blackhawk too. Need to discuss some details on that one with Gary later.

Kind of off topic here. Huey can you refresh my memory of ..

The 100 grn American Eagle stuff was around 2062 fps and grouped 1.5-1.75" groups at 100 yards.

I handloaded a bit lighter, but got 2000 fps and shrank groups by 1/2".

I will try some Lil Gun as it has been magical in longer barrels.

I can't see that far anymore, anyone try a good

peep site on a levergun lately? Besides the flat top Mailin XS Ghost rings? (BTW which are great) I need one for my Big Bore 94 and a couple Rossi's. Is there a guy (Skinner?) that makes one that fits a rear dovetail? That might be useful.

Also what is the .251 Falcon? I forgot and didn't see it on the list.

it is down at the bottom of the list. It is simply a

25-20 Improved Improved to our normal specs. Straight case, 40 degree shoulder and short neck. I am hoping it will equal the 250 GNR but we shall see. The 251 Falcon with no taper should work fine in a cylinder.

Equal the 250 GNR? I think it'll equal the 256 WM...

Believe this one will be the ultimate 25 revolver cartridge.

Realize there are no guarantees in this game and setback is a finicky friend. But, I'm still optimistic this will be a winner.

My 327 Fed Henry wears a Nikon 2-7x...

I worked with long ago was named Skinner. So it stuck. They do make one that looks perfect for the Rossi's. I'll have to try one on my .45 and my Daughter has a 16" .357 that I bet would help her too.

I've been looking for a good receiver sight for my Big Bore 94 (that I bought from Puffy about 8-10 yrs. ago) but they are scarce and expensive. The Skinner requires a hole tapped on either side of the sliding breech bolt, near the locking bolt, one on each side for mounting. This seems more streamlined than the old side mount Lyman or Williams.

He's about 90 miles from me.
