John W., yes you lose considerable velocity with an .008 barrel/cyl gap, usually 250 to 275 FPS according to the weight of the bullet and the cartridge. If you like the gun and need the gap reduced, get it to us and we can take it down to .002 where it needs to be.

What is the cost to do that Gary?

THE SAME PROBLEM. SHOT SLOWER THAN MY 4-3/4" .45. CORRECTING THE B/C GAP SOLVED THAT PROBLEM AND ALSO INCREASED THE ACCURACY SUBSTANTIALLY.
