250 GNR... Remember, WB and I aren't supposed to make sense

Worked some more 250 GNR loads. My gun did not like the Speer 75 grn FN bullets. They shot well, but velocity wasn't much better than the 86 grn. Experienced a little setback with these with WW296 and AA1680. I'll include on the spreadsheet, but little reason to post here.

Now, for the loads that only Scotty and I will understand...

I printed all the 25 Hornet data I could find. From the famous GF Blackhawk to rifle data from Handloader Magazine.

I often turn to Unique for cast bullets and such data was included in my print out.

I tinkered a bit with loads, but quickly settled on what is my favorite so far.

4.5 grns of Unique behind the cast GT 55 grn HP produced 1342 fps. Very low spreads, great accuracy, zero leading and mushroom great.

Cases don't even need resizing between loads.

"GF Blackhawk" and " GT 55" HUH?

I hear he's a very kind, humble, smart, feller. For the .255 Banshee I noted his .25 Hornet work. I had good luck with HP38 that I'd probably never tried. The faster powders work great provided they meter uniformly! A tenth of a grain or three is a big jump.

Neither me, but he knows a few things about cast bullets...

I'll explain...

They shoot and perform great. Also, I can load 100 of these for 1/3 the cost of 100 rounds of 22 WMR.

they're 100 fps faster, 15 grains heavier, more frontal diameter and the HP actually acts like a HP.
