Gary especially and others here what should I do with that rifle? Change caliber, Reederize it? Trade it? Help me out,Gary.

I have a hankering for a .50 AK since

it can fire .501 GNR, .500 LB, .500 Max. single shot style. With TrailBoss and a pistol bullet it's downright mild. Or you can load it to make it clap your shoulder blades!

.510...dyslexia.

Winn, unless you plan on hunting the big bears in Alaska

or shady ladies in New Orleans, I would leave it as a 45-70. It is such a good caliber and can be used on anything from fire ants in Florida to Brown Bears in Alaska. If the gun were mine I would do one of 2 things to it. Either slick it up with a new finish, nice engraving, good butt pad, maybe a brake if recoil isn't your bag, and make it a special hunting rifle to hand down to a son or daughter. The other option would be to trade it in toward credit on a custom handgun for the next HHC.

45-70

I've got that rifle I used at the HHC, so let me trade up for the g2 in the above post. Thanks, Gary, good advice in both posts.

Winn, e-mail me when you can and let me know what
