Is gates 445 brass good brass

I bought 50 445 Super Mag brass from Starline a few years ago. Then I had the opportunity to stock up with a case of 500. I am on the 4th reload of the original 50 and still haven’t opened the box of 500. Good stuff.

early to mid 80s. Elgin Gates came up with all the Super Mag cartridges and had some brass made up with his name on it. It was good brass but these days probably brittle due to age. I have a large amount of Starline brass but I will use my Gates brass until it dies and then replace it with Starline.
