Would a old Weaver K3 be strong enough to mount on a FAL?

A CLASSIC RIFLE.
My other option would be on an older Marlin 39.

testing. The generous eye relief is a great bonus. I figure it will work till it don't. Few were likely subject to that much abuse!
I have sort of a "collection" of old Weaver scopes

Buying estates out we end up with a lot of older scopes and most, although extremely ugly and worn, function fine. Here are a few I keep here to put on an old classic.
Left to right..
a Weaver K-3 with the fine crosshairs
a Weaver K 2.5 with fine crosshairs and 5" eye relief
a Weaver K 2.5 with post crosshairs and 5" eye relief
a Weaver K 4 with fine crosshairs...much older scope
and a Lyman All American 4X with post crosshairs.
The 5th pic shows the post crosshair. One of these days I hope to get a beat to hell S&W Model 29, 44 Magnum in on trade, completely refurbish and convert it to an Al Goerg 44 Magnum with the 2.5 Weaver scope as shown in the 6th pic.
Gary, I have a great old steel Weaver 3-9x..
