I just received a 410 GNR that I got from Stan George. It has one of the gold bead front sights. How easy is it to replace it with one of the fiber optic ones? Also it does appear to be drilled and tapped for a scope mount is there any way to determine what base it was for.

Tim, there is an Allen screw in the front of the base

Loosen the screw and the sight blade comes out. Measure it from the bottom of the blade to the top of the gold bead and let me know the height and I can get you a green or red fiber optic blade out. They are $45 plus a buck or two for shipping. Don't measure the little dog leg part that goes down in the base, just the part above the base. Without seeing the gun, the only way is to measure the hole spacing. A Leupold base has the 2 front holes that measure 1.05" apart. If you have a way to measure them, see if they are the same.

Gary the front sight measured. .325"
